Rachel's Ring
Rachel and Scott approached me about making their special ring after seeing one in a jewelry store. Like most people, they were hesitant about the cost of having something custom made. Although Rachel loved the ring in the store, it was too thin and delicate, the stone was smaller than she wanted, and the accent on the band was yellow gold instead of rose.
She emailed the picture of the ring to me and told me what she loved about it and what her concerns were. After the quote I was given the green light to get this project on my bench!
Once I had the ring carved in wax and the moissanite arrived, Rachel came over to take a look at it. It's so great to be able to show a client the work in progress and discuss any changes at this point. We both agreed that with the larger stone the shape of the rose gold accent needed to be different. We also made the stone more secure by putting it in a bezel setting instead of the original tension setting.
It's very gratifying to work with a client and create their special project. I'm so happy I could take Rachel's vision and turn it into her one of a kind ring. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials Rachel and Scott!
